Alessandro Bavari is an Italian-French artist and a pioneer of digital art, as well as one of the leading figures of contemporary surrealism. Since childhood he has devoted himself to photography, painting, and music, gradually merging these disciplines into a unique visual language. Since 1993 he has explored digital art as a tool for expression and research, eventually winning the prestigious Golden Nica at Prix Ars Electronica in 2011 with his work Metachaos. This visionary video caught the attention of Ridley Scott, who in 2017 chose him as a concept artist for Alien: Covenant.
Throughout his career, Bavari has collaborated with directors such as Gabriele Lavia and Luca Guadagnino and has worked in the worlds of film, video games, and advertising, creating projects for brands including Mercedes, Ferrari, Samsung, BMW, Sky, Telecom, and many others. He has received international awards such as the Digital Hall of Fame Award and the International Digital Art Award, as well as recognition from the Clio Awards, One Show, and the Art Directors Club
